The Athletic Department endeavors to use athletic competition to train young people. The drive is to win, but the goal is excellence, joy, and growth in Christ-like character. LCA's desire is to instill a positive self image, commitment to personal and team goals, and to develop each athlete in skills and knowledge of the game.

LCA participates in GISA (Georgia Independent School Association) and ICSGA (Independent Christian School of Georgia and Alabama). Athletic activities are available for lower school as well as upper school. Refer to the specific sports for more information.

The love of sports is evident by the high number of students participating and the number of trophies that have been attained. Several students from LCA have received athletic scholarships and/or played collegiate basketball, baseball, football, and soccer.
