LCA Cross Country is made up of 8 runners this season, which includes: 9th graders, Olivia Blackburn, Aaron Ross, and Matthew Wegenast, 8th graders, Kiana Bolen, Benjamin Briggs, Sidney Cook and Samuel Tuttle, and 6th grader, Caroline Briggs. Our cross country team participates in the GISA conference against various schools at different meets throughout the season.

2009 Meet Highlights

*George Walton Academy - Sidney Cook placed 4th out of 16 runners in the JV girls race. (1.5 miles) with a time of 10:59, Kiana Bolen took 7th place with a time of 11:46, and Caroline Briggs finished 8th with a time of 11:52. For the JV Boys race (105 miles) Benjamin Briggs placed 3rd out of 15 runners with a time of 8:49, and Samuel Tuttle finished with a time of 11:57. For the Varsity Girls (5K -3.1 miles) Olivia Blackburn finished with a time of 31:41. For the Varsity Boys, Matthew Wegenast finished 14th out of 45 runners with a time of 21:31 and Aaron Ross finished with a time of 31:07.

*Covington Fuzz Run -Caroline Briggs ran the 1 miles race in 6:43, Matthew Wegenast placed 22nd overall and 2nd in his age group with a time of 20:28 in the 5K, Benjamin Briggs finished with a time of 25:00 in the 5K, Olivia Blackburn placed 3rd in her age group with a time of 27:44, Aaron Ross finished the 5K with a time of 27:49, and Kiana Bolen finished the 5K with a time of 36:11.
