PARTICIPATING IN THE JOURNEY
We have a saying at LCA, that we are looking for owners, not renters. Our tag line, #wearelca, is more than just a slogan. It is our desire that each and every family that joins us views their relationship with us as more than just a business transaction and that parents truly partner with us in their student’s education. For some families that means giving financially over and above tuition to the needs of the school, either in the form of participating in fundraisers or making one-time gifts for desired improvements. For others, involvement means using your talents, services, or other resources. For example, many of our parents work in construction-related fields, so they have framed and plumbed buildings, lent us bulldozers when needed, or helped with painting. Still other families own or have a great relationship with a business who can help us when it comes to the auction. Of course, we are always happy to have parents who are willing to serve as room moms, drive on field trips, or help the teachers. The two primary ways to get involved in LCA are through our PTF (Parent Teacher Fellowship) or our Booster Club (which supports all sports, fine arts, and missions). If you would like to find a way to plug in, please fill out this form, and someone will contact you.
Greetings LCA Family,
On behalf of the Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) of Loganville Christian Academy, I would like to extend a warm welcome to you and your family as we begin the new 2016-2017 school year. You are a member of the PTF as parents of LCA, and are always welcome to attend and participate in our meetings and events.
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jennifer Walker and I am the President of the PTF for the 2016-2017 school year. This is our family's fourth year at LCA. I have three sons: Caleb (7th), Jacob (5th) and Ethan (1st). I am honored to serve in this position and work with other board members, teachers and administrators to make this school year successful and enjoyable for everyone!
The other LCA PTF 2016-2017 officers are:
- Vice President – Stacy Young (Isabella, 7th grade and Jake, 2nd grade)
- Secretary – Charlotte Meyers (Sarah, 10th grade / Anna, 5th grade)
- Treasurer – Amy Dudik (Jacob, 8th grade / Ethan, 5th grade)
Our purpose is to provide a clear channel of communication between the home and school while working closely together in accomplishing the objectives of LCA with a heart and attitude of service to our Lord. We also aim to foster close harmony between parents and staff, provide encouragement to our faculty and provide fellowship opportunities with other parents by attending the meetings and events. In turn, this builds morale and community within our school.
If you would like more information about PTF or how you can get involved, please feel free to contact me by emailing me. I would also encourage you to visit our PTF page for additional information and opportunities to serve.
I look forward to a great year and having the opportunity to meet you and your family!
Background Check Form
All volunteers at LCA who will be with children at any time need to fill out a background check form. This form needs to be printed and notarized. Results can take 5-7 days to receive, so please fill this form out well in advance of volunteering.
Volunteer Driver Form
Any volunteer who wishes to drive an LCA student (other than their own child) on an LCA-approved or sponsored trip, must have a transportation form on record. Please complete and return this form.
The Pride is ready to Roar Again! Welcome to the 2016-2017 School year and what we hope to be another exciting and productive year for our LCA Athletic Department.
My name is Tim Gaines. I am serving as your 2016-2017 Booster Club President. Last year, Amanda and I were blessed to have two of our boys at LCA. We feel the sacrifices are well worth the investment. Native to Elbert County, I have been involved in local Gwinnett area youth and adult athletics for 28 years. I am fully aware of what it takes to organize and manage a successful athletic program. It is my desire to come along side our coaches and help them with some of the “behind the scenes” activities in order to allow them to devote their time to coaching our students.
With that said, we are consistently in need of people to participate with the Booster Club and help support our athletic department. Whether it be helping with gates, parking, the selling of apparel, or putting us in touch with potential resources, we need and desire your help. We welcome your involvement in this coming year.
For more information or to get involved, email me or text me at 770-231-0176.
Thank you for your involvement!
