A familiar face to some at LCA and the surrounding area, Ms. Czerwonky brings more than 30 years of experience serving students, teachers, and school communities. Throughout her distinguished career, she has held numerous roles in both classroom instruction and school leadership, most recently retiring from Gwinnett County Public Schools after serving in seven different schools across all grade levels.
Ms. Czerwonky earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Presbyterian College in South Carolina and her Master's degree in Middle Grades Mathematics and Science from Emory University before completing her Specialist degree in Teacher Leadership at the University of North Georgia, including certification in School Leadership.
Her educational journey began in elementary and middle school classrooms, where she spent 26 years teaching and supporting students and fellow educators. She later transitioned into administration, serving for seven years at two specialty high schools. Her passion for developing students, leading faculty, and building strong school communities has remained the hallmark of her career.
Ms. Czerwonky started her LCA tenure on July 9th and was welcomed to campus with a luncheon hosted by members of the LCA Board of Directors, followed by a meet-and-greet opportunity with faculty and staff in the Lodge.
Supporting Ms. Czerwonky in the Lower School will be Gina Morton, serving as Lower School Administrative Assistant, and June Smith, who is returning to LCA as Lower School Receptionist.
A resident of Lawrenceville, Ms. Czerwonky attends Victory Church in Buford where she serves as Missions Coordinator. She enjoys spending time with family, playing tennis, camping in her RPod camper, and making sourdough bread.
Her life verse, Jeremiah 29:11, reflects the faith and purpose that guide her leadership: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Please join us in giving a warm LCA welcome to Jana Czerwonky. We are grateful for the experience, wisdom, and Christ-centered leadership she brings to our community and look forward to the impact she will have on our students, families, and faculty this year and beyond.
