It is with excitement that we announce the appointment of William R. Bray IV as the new Interim Head of School for Loganville Christian Academy beginning with the 2026-27 school year.

As we look toward the future of LCA, we believe God has provided a leader uniquely equipped to guide our school into its next season of growth, innovation, and Christ-centered excellence. Mr. Bray, known as IV to family and friends, brings more than three decades of educational leadership experience spanning K-20 public and private education. Most notably, he served nearly a decade as Principal of the Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science and Technology (GSMST), a school consistently ranked among the Top Ten Best High Schools in America by U.S. News & World Report.

Throughout his distinguished career, IV has served as a Physics Teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, Associate Head of School, Academic Science Professional for the University of Georgia College of Education, and Founder and CEO of Solutions 4 Education, Inc. His dedication to academic excellence, strategic innovation, and cultivating educational leaders has consistently strengthened organizations and inspired lasting growth and success.

More importantly, IV brings a deep and abiding Christian faith to this role. He has faithfully served in his church as a Church Council Chairman, Bible teacher, and volunteer in children's and family ministries. Together with his wife, Gabrielle Bray, an accomplished educator and administrator, they have built a family centered on faith, integrity, and service. Their children, Will (UGA graduate/UGA athlete), Marshall (Augusta University student/athlete), and Emily (Georgia Tech student) reflect those same values through their academic and athletic accomplishments.

As Head of School, Mr. Bray will oversee all aspects of school operations, including academic programming, faculty development, student discipleship, strategic planning, and community engagement. Working closely with the Board of Directors, he will lead LCA into a future that honors our rich heritage while embracing new opportunities to prepare students academically, spiritually, and socially for God's call on their lives.

What particularly excites us is Mr. Bray's demonstrated ability to combine innovation with mission. Throughout his career, he has consistently developed high-performing programs, built strong cultures, cultivated exceptional educators, and inspired students to pursue excellence. His leadership philosophy reflects the belief that Christian education should not simply keep pace with the changing world but prepare students to influence it for Christ.

Words from Those Who Know Him Well

Nick Masino, President & CEO, Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce

"I had the opportunity to work with Mr. Bray during his time at the Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology, where he consistently demonstrated thoughtful leadership, professionalism, and a deep commitment to student success."

Kevin Tashlein, Retired Gwinnett County Public Schools Chief Strategy Officer

"As a leader, IV brings a steady, thoughtful presence and a clear sense of purpose. He has successfully led high-performing schools, managed large teams and budgets, and built programs that deliver measurable results. More importantly, he leads with integrity. He is someone people trust—fair, transparent, and always focused on doing what's best for students and staff. He listens well, anticipates challenges, and works collaboratively to find solutions. I believe that Loganville Christian Academy will greatly benefit from Mr. Bray's expertise, character, and ability to effectively lead with both vision and humility."

Berney Kirkland, Former Chief of Staff to GCPS CEO/Superintendent Alvin Wilbanks

"Mr. Bray was known for his skills in motivating and inspiring both teachers and students to achieve their greatest potential while maintaining a learning environment that was supportive, congenial, and orderly. Under his leadership, GSMST ranked repeatedly as the highest-performing school in Georgia and one of the nation's best. On a personal level, I knew IV to be a man of deep faith, professional integrity, and stellar character. Loganville Christian Academy students and staff will profit from the example he sets in how he lives his life, loves his family, and serves his God."

David Walters, pastor of Alpharetta Methodist Church

"I've had the privilege of knowing IV Bray for over 20 years, and 'faithful' is the word that comes to mind when I think of him. He's faithful to the Lord, faithful to the Word of God and orthodox Christian beliefs, faithful to his family, and faithful to the Church. I know he'll be faithful in his role as leader of LCA."

Rev. Wes Sorrells, Monroe First Methodist Church

"IV was raised in a godly home in the small town of Washington, Georgia, where faith, hard work, and character were foundational. Growing up, he was an outstanding athlete, competing in sports with discipline and determination. Beyond the field, he learned the value of hard work and spending time outdoors hunting alongside his father, my uncle Ralph. Those early experiences shaped in him a deep sense of responsibility, perseverance, and humility.

As a young man serving as a campus police officer at the University of Georgia, he demonstrated a genuine heart for helping people and carried himself with integrity and compassion. That same passion for people has defined his career in education. IV has proven himself to be an exceptional educator and administrator who not only leads with excellence but invests deeply in the lives of students, teachers, and families.

Perhaps most importantly, IV is a devoted husband and father who loves the Lord and seeks to put God first in all he does. I have full confidence that IV will serve Loganville Christian Academy with excellence, vision, and a Christ-centered heart. I am excited to see how God will use him in this new role and the impact he will have on the LCA community. I am incredibly proud to call him my cousin and my brother in Christ."

Jorge Gomez, Chief of Staff, Office of the Superintendent, Gwinnett County Public Schools

"During his 28-year tenure with GCPS, I personally knew, worked with, and/or supervised Mr. Bray beginning in 2003. Mr. Bray consistently demonstrated effective leadership, professionalism, and extensive academic and organizational knowledge. In his final role leading GSMST, one of our flagship schools, he exemplified innovation, out-of-the-box thinking, and meticulous attention to detail while ensuring that our core mission and vision were fully realized.

I would rank Mr. Bray among the top 1% of leaders I have had the privilege of serving with and alongside. If you are looking for someone who will take charge and ensure alignment with your organization's mission and vision, then in my humble opinion, you have found an outstanding leader."

Looking Ahead

The Board of Directors believes this appointment marks an exciting new chapter for Loganville Christian Academy. IV Bray's unique combination of educational expertise, visionary leadership, Christian conviction, and heart for students positions LCA to thrive in the years ahead.

As we continue our mission of preparing students academically, spiritually, and socially for God's call on their lives, we are confident God has provided the right leader for this season.

Please join us warmly welcoming William R. Bray IV and the Bray family to the LCA community. We look forward to all God will accomplish through his leadership.

In Christ,
The Loganville Christian Academy Board of Directors
