My name is JR Curley, and I am incredibly grateful for the gift of LCA. I joined the LCA family my Junior year of high school. LCA gave me a home away from home in which I could flourish in the classroom and on the field. I found LCA in the summer of 2018, and I found lifelong friends and family throughout my four semesters there.

I'm blessed to say that I received a baseball scholarship to attend The University Of West Alabama to pursue my Business Administration education. This program focuses on key aspects of managing a business and entrepreneurship. I want to learn how to be a successful entrepreneur and be the CEO of my own conglomerate. I know that with hard work and faith, I will achieve it one day. In conjunction, my dream, though, is to become a Major league baseball player right out of college, having earned my undergraduate degree.

I've had this dream ever since I was four years old, and I've envisioned myself getting drafted out of college. God has given me the vision, talent, and work ethic to reach that goal. Until then, I am doing everything that I can to work hard not only in the classes but also on the field.

LCA has helped me to grow stronger in my walk with Christ. This was what I was looking for when I changed schools. From alpha camps beginning every school year, FCA meetings held, prayers after every game, and the fantastic chapels, you won't find this walk with Christ at any other public school. At LCA, I'm proud to say that you don't have to hide your belief in Christ. There aren't many Godly people in specific colleges, so knowing who you are in Christ is very important. Finding those Godly people like at LCA was critical for me during my first semester. The academics at LCA are excellent, and it prepared me for the intensity of college.

I am truly blessed to call LCA my second home with the safe atmosphere and the Godly hearts welcoming you. It was an honor walking through the LCA halls, and I know others will have a great experience just like I did.
