LOGANVILLE, Ga. — More Loganville Christian Academy (LCA) students are enrolling in Advanced Placement (AP) courses than ever before. Not only are they accepting the academic challenges that such courses present, but they are excelling in various ways.
LCA continues to raise the bar for preparing students academically for God’s call on their lives. The growth of our AP program is a testament to that commitment.
At the end of the 2024-25 school year, 84 percent of LCA AP students earned a score of 3 or higher on at least one AP exam. That is a near-20 percent increase from last school year and the highest pass rate of the past half-decade by at least 15 percent.
Director of College & Career Counseling, Laura Nabors, believes that this symbolizes a commitment from both our educators and students.
“This year’s AP results are a reflection of something truly remarkable happening at LCA,” Nabors said. “Our teachers have poured countless hours into planning, teaching, and encouraging students to rise to the challenge—and our students responded with grit, passion, and excellence. I couldn’t be more proud of the dedication and results. I’ve seen across the board. These achievements aren’t just numbers; they represent the heart of a Christ-centered community that values building relationships, continuous learning, and academic excellence.”
This signifies the hard work of our students and strength of our faculty and support systems.
In 2025 alone, 51 students sat for more than 93 AP exams across different 18 subject areas. The accomplishment is not just found in participation, but in excellence.
“Whether or not a student earns a qualifying score, the experience of engaging with college-level material in a supportive environment is powerful and transformative and we are committed to expanding these opportunities for all of our learners.”
Students had a 100 percent pass rate in five subjects taught on our campus, which includes: English Language & Composition, Psychology, English Literature, Computer Science Principles, and World History: Modern.
In additional subjects such as the U.S. History, Precalculus, U.S. Government & Politics courses, there was a high pass rate.
LCA has taken measures, too, to broaden our campus’s AP course offerings outside of the traditional classroom setting. Through approved providers and studying independently, several students pursued AP courses not currently offered on the Pridelands.
Those students’ initiative as well as self-discipline proved to be remarkable as they achieved 100 percent pass rate in: Statistics, European History, Biology, Calculus BC, Environmental Science.
The value in AP programs offered at LCA is three-fold
Develop college-level analytical and writing skills.
Earn college credit and placement.
Experience academic rigor in a supportive, Christ-centered environment.
But LCA’s success in AP is not expected to be temporary. LCA is excited to continue expanding opportunities while maintaining the high standard of excellence that defines our Pride.
Nabors cannot wait to see how the LCA AP program continues to excel moving forward.
“As we look to the future, I’m incredibly excited about the continued growth of our AP program at LCA,” Nabors said. “Whether or not a student earns a qualifying score, the experience of engaging with college-level material in a supportive environment is powerful and transformative and we are committed to expanding these opportunities for all of our learners. More students are not only earning college credit through their AP scores, but also developing the skills, confidence, and resilience that lead to long-term success in college and beyond.”
